'Tickled' Is Getting a Follow-Up Documentary on HBO

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 6, 2017

Without question, Tickled was one of the strangest and creepiest documentaries of 2016. As filmmakers David Farrier and Dylan Reeve explained in our interview with them, the film's release was just as bizarre as some of their documentary subjects followed them to screenings around the world.

Naturally, Tickled is practically begging for a follow-up, and we'll soon be indulged when HBO delivers the film along with a new documentary. Called The Tickle King, the film's companion piece offers 20 minutes of brand new, previously unseen footage.

The Tickle King promises to document "the bizarre and unsettling things that happen to filmmakers David Farrier and Dylan Reeve as the documentary premieres at film festivals and theaters in 2016. Lawsuits, private investigators, disrupted screenings and surprise appearances are just part of what they encounter along the way. Amidst new threats, the duo begins to answer questions that remained once the credits rolled on Tickled, including whether the disturbing behavior they uncovered will ever come to an end."

Both Tickled and The Tickle King are set to hit HBO on February 27. Watch the initial film's trailer below.
