Social Media Demands 'Cats' Producers "Release the Butthole Cut" After Learning Sphincters Were Digitally Removed

Seth Rogen is partly responsible for bringing Cats back into the conversation after getting stoned and live-tweeting the flick. Beyond that, however, the best-worst film of 2019 is celebrating its arrival to home release with a trending global movement about buttholes.

It all started when writer Jack Waz revealed that his visual effects worker friend was hired to remove CGI buttholes from the anthropomorphic cats in the Tom Hooper-directed film:
 
 
That said, #ReleaseTheButtholeCut could not be contained to one mere joke tweet, and thus a movement was born with even Knives Out director Rian Johnson getting involved:
