Shaun White has apologized for his Tropic Thunder-inspired Halloween costume.
The Olympic gold medalist received instantaneous backlash after sharing a photo of himself dressed up as "Simple Jack" from the 2008 Ben Stiller film.
Even the Special Olympics slammed the snowboarding star, calling his costume "offensive" and reminding him that "disability is not a joke nor should it be a punchline."
Now, White has issued a statement, apologizing for his "poor choice of Halloween costume."
"It was a last minute decision. It was the wrong one," he wrote. "The Special Olympics were right to call me out on it."
