We officially have our new Batman — Robert Pattinson.
Following rumours earlier this month, Pattinson has now landed the coveted role, and the Twilight alumnus will play the titular superhero in director Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman series, Warner Bros. confirmed today.
According to Deadline, Pattinson beat out Nicholas Hoult for the gig. Now all that's left is for Warner Bros. to iron out the specifics of the deal with Pattinson, who will be taking the role in a three-film deal.
To refresh your memory, Pattison will be taking over from Ben Affleck — not to mention a long string of other Batmen.
The Batman is meant to begin production this summer, and the film is slated to arrive June 25, 2021.
