Last year, veteran filmmaker Richard Linklater achieved even more acclaim with his ambitious Boyhood project. All eyes are on the filmmaker to see what he does now, and we've now learned some details about his next project.
As The Film Stage reports, Linklater's next project will be the long-rumoured "spiritual sequel" to his iconic 1993 effort Dazed & Confused. The film was originally called That's What I'm Talking About, but it now has the title Everybody Wants Some, named after a Van Halen song.
The film is set in the world of 1980s college life, and its soundtrack features plenty of era-specific music. In addition to its Van Halen-referencing title, the movie will feature music from Talking Heads, Blondie, Devo and Pat Benatar.
Everybody Wants Some stars Tyler Hoechlin, Wyatt Russell, Ryan Guzman, Will Brittain, Glen Powell, and Zoey Deutch. It will open this fall.
