Netflix's quirky — and sometimes Satanic — reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has been cancelled. The series will return for its final chapter later this year.

According to an announcement from Netflix last night (July 8), the "spooky, sexy and supernatural series finale" will run for eight more episodes, continuing along with the Eldritch Terrors plot, with Greendale's spooky teens waging ware against their mystical enemies.

"Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honour from day one," showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Deadline. "The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone's favourite teen witch, has been an absolute joy."

He added: "I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I'm also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can't wait for everyone to see Part Four."

Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Richard Coyle, Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Lachlan Watson, Gavin Leatherwood and Tati Gabrielle, among others, are set to return to the series in late 2020 for its final chapter.

So far, no firm release date for Season 4 has been announced.
