Lakeith Stanfield Calls Critic a "Bitch" for Giving 'Get Out' Its Only Negative Review

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 2, 2017

Jordan Peele's fantastic Get Out is the first great film of 2017, and a movie that we'll be talking about for months to come. Up until yesterday, it was sitting at a rare 100 percent fresh rating on Rotten TomatoesThen one critic had to go and screw it up for everyone.

Armond White is a critic for the ultra conservative National Review, and he was the only person with negative things to say about the film. In his review, he said the film was a "get-whitey movie" and that the film is an "attenuated sketch."

Bafflingly, he goes on to say that the film doesn't live up to Eddie Murphy's The Klumps, Norbit, Meet Dave or A Thousand Words, films that he says are "so personal and ingenious, they transcend racial categorization."

Rather than take the criticism and move on, Get Out actor Lakeith Stanfield had some strong words for White on Twitter. "Armond White is a bitch," he wrote.

Though the tweet has since been deleted, it was fortunately screencapped for posterity. Here's hoping Jordan Peele prints it out and hangs it in his office.
