Jeff Lowe's 'Tiger King' Park Raided by Feds with 68 Big Cats Seized

It feels like it was forever ago that Netflix's Tiger King dominated the cultural zeitgeist. Since then, Joe Exotic failed to get out of prison and started planning his memoir while Carole Baskin fought off trolls and launched a cryptocurrency. As for the big cats, well, they've just been confiscated in a raid.

As you may recall, the zoo in Tiger King defaulted to Jeff Lowe when Joe Exotic was arrested. Now, the zoo in Thackerville, OK, has been raided and its animals have been seized by the feds.

According to TMZ, 68 animals were seized in the enormous operation, including lions, tigers, lion-tiger hybrids and a jaguar from the zoo.

The raid follows three inspections of the park that took place in December 2020, where the zoo "received citations for failing to provide the animals with adequate or timely veterinary care, appropriate nutrition" as well as failing to provide adequate shelter.

Further, Lowe was required to employ a qualified veterinarian and establish a program of veterinary care that meets the requirements laid out in the Animal Welfare Act. He's been found in contempt after months of non-compliance with court orders.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the animals will be handed over to "responsible animal preserves where they can be safely maintained rather than exploited."

Meanwhile, some lesser figures from the Tiger King series have announced that they're going on tour across Canada
