Star Wars fans lost their beloved Princess Leia yesterday (December 27) when Carrie Fisher passed away at the age of 60. In addition to her iconic Star Wars role, Fisher appeared in many other films, including The Blues Brothers, Hannah and Her Sisters and When Harry Met Sally.

More recently, she appeared in TV shows like Catastrophe and two yet-to-be-released episodes of Family Guy, and of course, reprised the role of Leia for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the upcoming Star Wars Episode VIII.

Although fans still have onscreen appearances from Fisher to look forward to, it's hard to shake the overwhelming feeling of loss that comes with losing one of Hollywood's favourite heroes.

Fans and friends from the Star Wars world and beyond have taken to social media to share their memories of Fisher and pay their respects to the late actress, and you can see just some of Hollywood's reaction to her death below.
