Directing duo Jen and Sylvia Soska — better known as the Soska Sisters — have paid tribute to David Cronenberg's 1977 film Rabid with their own remake of the flick. Today, Exclaim! is proud to share the first trailer for the movie.
The new Rabid stars Laura Vandervoort as Rose, a young woman who is disfigured in a car accident. She then undergoes an experimental stem-cell treatment, with incredibly bloody results.
In addition to Vandervoort, the film stars Ben Hollingsworth, Ted Atherton, Stephen Huszar, Phil Brooks, Greg Bryk, Stephen McHattie, Hanneke Talbot, Mackenzie Gray and AJ Mendez.
