A little over a month after gauging public interest on a third Hellboy movie, director Guillermo del Toro has revealed that there will not be another film in the series.

Taking to Twitter today (February 21), del Toro tweeted, "Hellboy 3 Sorry to report: Spoke w all parties. Must report that 100% the sequel will not happen. And that is to be the final thing about it."

Ron Perlman, who played the titular character in both 2004's Hellboy and 2008 sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army, also tweeted, "Superhero seeks employment. Likes, pizza, cats, and the Marx bros."

Back in January, del Toro posted a Twitter poll asking his followers whether or not they were interested in a third Hellboy film, with 68 percent of 132,938 voters giving a resounding "hell, yes." Del Toro also noted that Perlman was onboard, adding that he was "very moved by your love of pt I & II."
