Forthcoming Sky Arts series Urban Myths will take a satirical stab at telling the "true…ish stories" of some of history's most enigmatic figures — from Bob Dylan to Muhammad Ali to Samuel Beckett, and even Hitler. But it's Michael Jackson's character that is causing the most controversy.

The makers of Urban Myths made the contentious decision to cast white dude Joseph Fiennes as the late singer, in an episode depicting a rumoured post-9/11 roadtrip he took with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando in 2001.

While the debate over Hollywood whitewashing and lack of diversity rages on over Twitter, the first look at Fiennes as Jackson has surfaced in a new trailer for the series.
