Finn Wolfhard is known to most as Mike Wheeler on Stranger Things, but the kid's talents go beyond the realm of onscreen appearances. He's made his interest in music obvious by appearing in PUP's "Guilt Trip" and "Sleep in the Heat" music videos, but he's also offered up his own takes on Mac DeMarco and Nirvana tunes.
Now, in a new interview with Dazed, the 13-year-old Netflix star has revealed that he'd like to put out an album of his own. "I want to somehow get an album or EP out," he told the publication.
He also opened up about the kind of music he digs.
"I love '80s and '90s music," he said. "I love Nirvana, Joy Division and New Order — older alternative, I guess. There's a scene [in Stranger Things] where they use 'Atmosphere' by Joy Division. Charlie Heaton's character is crying. It's perfect."
It doesn't mean that the youngster has already ditched his screen-related ambitions, though.
"I mean, I love acting, but I really wanna direct. And to write," Wolfhard said. "A lot of people say, and I definitely agree with this, that a film set is the best film school."
Of course, he's still got more to show off in his role as Wheeler on Stranger Things too. Season 2 of the hit show is expected out next year.
While we wait for someone to help make Wolfhard's dream of becoming a rockstar a reality, relive his covers of Nirvana and Mac DeMarco down below.
