While his return to Greendale Community College was in doubt upon last year's confirmation of a long-awaited Community movie, Donald Glover has now appeared to confirm his involvement in the production.

Accompanying Glover's recent GQ cover profile — in which we learned that "This Is America" began life as a Drake diss — is a video feature in which the polymath breaks down hist most iconic characters.

The clip includes reflection on his time playing Troy Barnes, which naturally leads to a mention of the forthcoming film.

"The Community movie, there's some progress on it. We're supposed to be shooting it soon," Glover shares. "Haven't seen a script. In true [Dan Harmon] fashion, will probably get it on the first day. But yeah, it's supposed to be happening. I know just as much about it as you do."

Some of Glover's Community reflection makes note of Harmon's day-of script sharing, and he also shares that while NBC had the cast believe that the sitcom was a flop in the early-going, a trip to Canada led him to see just how beloved the series was. You can watch his sit-down with GQ below.

Community ran for six seasons between 2009 and 2015. Upon reports of the show's cancellation during its third season, fans campaigned for its continuation through use of the hashtag #SixSeasonsAndAMovie (a reference to a line from the show's second season), and will have their wish granted all this time later.

Last month, Glover popped up as Childish Gambino on the SWARM EP, tied to the the Prime Video television series of the same name that he co-created.
