HBO Max's retrospective special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is premiering on January 1, and will include interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, plus a whole bunch more stars from the blockbuster series.

The special will feature interviews and conversations between cast members about the Harry Potter film series, and the impact it's had on their lives and the world in the 20 years since it first appeared onscreen. Participating cast members include Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, filmmaker Chris Columbus and more.

About the retrospective special, president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults, and Classics Tom Ascheim said: "It has been an incredible journey since the debut of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone film, and witnessing how it has evolved into this remarkable interconnected universe has been magical, to say the least."

Ascheim added: "This retrospective is a tribute to everyone whose lives were touched by this cultural phenomenon — from the talented cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into this extraordinary film franchise to the passionate fans who continue to keep the Wizarding World spirit alive 20 years later."

There was no mention of whether J.K. Rowling would be interviewed for the special, but given the publicity surrounding her recent descent into TERF-dom, it seems possible that she won't be appearing to discuss her series' film adaptations.
