Daniel Craig Needs to Get Ankle Surgery Following 'Bond 25' Accident

Daniel Craig took a serious tumble recently while filming Cary Fukunaga's new Bond 25 movie, and now the starring actor will need to undergo ankle surgery.

The official James Bond social media account broke the unfortunate news today, and wrote the following:

Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica. Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020.

As previously reported, 51-year-old Craig had been sprinting in a scene for the new 007 film when he tripped and fell while filming in Jamaica. As a result, he was flown to the United States for medical treatment, effectively halting production of the film.

That said, Bond 25 is still slated for release on April 8, 2020.
