The New Bond Movie 'No Time to Die' Just Got Delayed Until 2021

You're not going to believe this, but the new James Bond movie has just been delayed all the way until 2021.

Today it was announced that  No Time to Die — directed by Cary Fukunaga and starring Daniel Craig and Rami Malek — has just been postponed for the millionth time, and this time it's been knocked all the way into next year.

Though the film was scheduled to arrive in November, it now will not arrive in theatres until April 2, 2021. That's an entire year later than initially planned.

Most recently, the film's release date was set for November 12  in the U.K. and November 20 in  North America. And marketing has been getting ever bigger for the film recently. We even just got its theme song from Billie Eilish.

If you're for some reason wondering why the film has been delayed, it's due to COVID-19 (obviously).

"MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time to Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience," the filmmakers said in a statement. "We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time to Die next year."
