'Blade Runner 2049' Soundtrack Gets Limited Vinyl Release

While the pretty amazing soundtrack for Blade Runner 2049 is out already digitally, news has finally arrived about its anticipated vinyl release.

The soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch will be arriving on wax in December, and you can currently pre-order the set.

The Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack will be pressed as a limited-edition 2-LP set. Each will be individually numbered, and it will be limited to 2,500 copies. It's also being pressed on 180-gram "premium vinyl for audiophiles" and includes a download code insert. For better or worse, it's also coming on good ol' classic black vinyl and skipping out on the divisive coloured vinyl craze.

It should be noted that the listing on the official Blade Runner 2049 webstore states "Only 2,500 copies of this edition exist," so it's unclear if future, different editions are planned. (There have been two editions of the CD set so far, each with different cover art.)

The 2-LP set begins shipping on or around December 15, and you can pre-order a copy here. You also might want to act fast, as both editions of the CD versions of Blade Runner 2049 have already sold-out, so we're guessing this vinyl pressing won't last long.

The Blade Runner 2049 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is out now via Alcon Sleeping Giant (ASG) Records/Epic Records, and you can stream it in full below.
