In case you weren't aware, the COVID-19 pandemic is still far from over. But this isn't stopping Gwyneth Paltrow from hitting the high seas with her infamous Goop brand for some cruises that are hopefully packed with more wellness than virus.
Paltrow announced this week on her Instagram that she's teaming up with Celebrity Cruises as the company's "well-being advisor." And considering how COVID-19 essentially destroyed the cruise industry during the last year, we're guessing they could use all the help they can get right now.
"I am always happiest by, in or on the sea!" Paltrow wrote in a post featuring her on a sunny beach somewhere instead of locked away inside her house. "I'll be behind the scenes, working on some special projects… My team Goop is curating programming and fitness kits to add to Celebrity's wellness the experience. I'm sworn to secrecy on the rest — keep an eye out for the details coming soon."
Celebrity Cruises also confirmed the partnership, stating in a press release that "we're taking luxury travel to the next level with Goop" and that there would be fitness kits on board for "enhancing self-care and collective well-being."
If all this sounds familiar, it is. Back in January 2020, Palrow floated a similar idea called "Goop at Sea," but then the pandemic happened, effectively making COVID-ravaged cruise ships the last place you'd want to be.
So yeah, if the pandemic hasn't scared you off cruises for life, the Goop Cruise should be coming soon.
