Adam Sandler Threatens to Make Another Movie That's "So Bad on Purpose" If He Doesn't Win an Oscar for 'Uncut Gems'

The Safdie Brothers's Good Time follow-up Uncut Gems is among the year's most anticipated films, and lead actor Adam Sandler is earning some major accolades for his performance in the flick. He's hoping it will turn into some awards season gold — or else there will be consequences.

In an interview with Howard Stern released this week, the Sandman spoke about how much he loved working with Josh and Benny Safdie on the film. In fact, he loves the movie so much that he's doing far more press than usual.

Part of that motivation is a desire to win an Oscar for the role. And if he doesn't, he's going to make us all pay.

"If I don't get it, I'm going to fucking come back and do one again that is so bad on purpose just to make you all pay," Sandler said, referencing his big-budget, small-brained comedies. "That's how I get them."
