Having had box office success with The Lego Movie and its various spinoffs, Warner Bros. is now reportedly developing a film centered on a different cast of plastic characters: Funko figurines.

As initially revealed by SuperBroMovies writer Daniel Richtman (and independently confirmed by SlashFilm), the studio is currently developing a live action/animation hybrid feature based on the popular line of figures. A photo of the Warner Bros. production slate tweeted by Richtman indicates that the film would begin production this year.

While plot details are scarce, Richtman also revealed that presently confirmed characters include Darth Vader, Deadpool, Hellboy, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Care Bears, My Little Pony and Hello Kitty. He added that the inclusion of the aforementioned superheroes would mark the first on-screen crossover of Marvel and DC Comics characters.

Founded in 1998, Funko's pop culture vinyl figures remain their most iconic product, immortalizing musicians, film stars, athletes, videogame characters and more as big-headed figurines. The company's line of products also includes keychains, plush toys, T-shirts and more.
