Last night (November 16), Drake held a private party at his kid-going-wild-on-Sims Toronto mansion, and he took the time to host two of our most controversial public figures and squash a beef that no one really seemed to care that much about in the first place.
In an Instagram post captioned "You have reached your destination," Drake shared two videos from the event, the first being of Dave Chappelle talking about how impressive it is that Drake owns his top-to-bottom-marble mansion after growing up modestly (started from the bottom, etc. etc.), while the second shows Drake and Kanye West bro-ing out as Kanye just kinda yells and/or moans.
The post's caption is probably a joke about that time Kanye shared the address to the very house that he's now hanging out and yelling in (even though everyone already knew where Drake lived). But all that beef seems to be set aside, as Kanye also posted a photo with Drake captioned by a dove emoji. Doves, famously, represent peace.
So if you were losing sleep over this multi-million dollar, potentially PR-orchestrated scrap, you can rest easy now.
In heavier news, Drake continues to have lawsuits against him roll in after the tragedy at Astroworld Festival, while Kanye continues to hang with Marilyn Manson — whose abusive behaviour was recently exposed further in a disturbing feature at Rolling Stone — and Chappelle continues to face blowback for his transphobic remarks.
