Despite some PR flubs and other setbacks, Amy Schumer's star continues to rise. The wildly successful comedian continues to book more movies, and her next sees her playing one of the most iconic children's characters of all time.
According to Deadline, Schumer will star as beloved Mattel doll Barbie in a new live-action film.
Don't expect much of her comedic crudeness in the film, either. This one's going to be rated PG.
Schumer will reportedly star as a doll living in Barbieland who doesn't quite fit the mold set by her peers. She decides to leave, going on an adventure in the real world.
The film is expected to begin production this spring for a 2018 release.
