While some American celebrities are setting their sights on a post-election move to Canada, Amy Schumer will be stuck stateside due to illness. Unfortunately, that means the comedian has had to postpone some of her upcoming Canadian shows.
She was slated to hit Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal this week on her world tour, but now the November 9, 10 and 11 shows, respectively, have been rescheduled for the new year. She will return to Canada to make up the shows, playing Toronto on February 16, Montreal on February 17 and Ottawa on February 18.
Previous tickets will be honoured, though fans are also being offered refunds from the point of purchase.
Schumer shared a video on Instagram, sending her apologies to fans who had been looking forward to seeing her live this week. "I'm so sorry, Canadians, sweet people," she said.
"Every night when I go onstage I promise it's going to be the best show I've ever done, and I can't make that promise because I feel awful and my voice is gone," she added.
