BC dance-rock combo You Say Party have slowly been reintroducing themselves by issuing new tunes, and the band are now plotting out a return to the stage in their native Abbotsford.
A press release confirms that the quartet will headline a concert at the Reach Gallery Museum on July 19. This will be just the second time the band have played since coming off their hiatus. The first show back took place in Toronto last fall as part of the Paper Bag Records 10th anniversary bash. Though it's currently unclear if the group have any more concerts abroad in 2013, it's explained that this will be You Say Party's only Abbotsford gig this year.
Also set to play the all-ages event put on by CIVL Radio are indie-pop crew Oh No! Yoko, Little Wild, the Parish of Little Clifton, the New Atlas and Casey Ambrose.
Earlier this year, bassist Stephen O'Shea noted that the band have recordings of OMD's "The Misunderstanding" and an original titled "Heading in the Direction of the Rising Sun" coming our way sometime in the future, though plans have yet to be revealed in full. You Say Party had issued their "Friend" single digitally in January.
