The Wondaland Records roster have united to deliver a powerful tribute to the many black U.S. citizens that have lost their lives in police custody over the last couple of years. The percussive protest song is called "Hell You Talmbout."
The song comes a day after Janelle Monáe and other Wondaland artists marched in Philadelphia to protest police brutality. The march was described by Monáe as a "Black Joy Celebration Demonstration."
The song, which you'll find below, is a passionate piece driven by drum line rhythms and chanted vocals. Its verses call for us to remember police brutality victims including Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, Philip White, Michael Brown and, sadly, many more.
