We Are Scientists and Surfer Blood Team Up for Tour, Share Songs from Split 7-inch

Fans of indie pop and danceable rock should be excited to learn that We Are Scientists and Surfer Blood have teamed up for a string of North American dates this fall. To coincide with the tour, both bands have contributed new tracks to a split 7-inch that will be available at the shows, though you can give them a listen digitally right now.

Surfer Blood are still supporting last year's Pythons, but their side of the 7-inch single delivers new tune "NW Passage," proving that the band haven't lost their knack for catchy, guitar-driven whimsy.

We Are Scientists released TV en Français earlier this year and offer up new track "Distillery" for the limited-edition tour-only single. Singer Keith Murray describes the track as "great for sitting in a hot tub with some icy white wine and an erotic novel. It's an autumn song, in other words."

Check out the dates below, including a stop north of the border at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern on October 6. Scroll past the gig details to give both new tracks a listen.
