Though details are slim, there's apparently a new album coming out sometime next year from pop-fusion crew the Very Best. The group may not have delivered any concrete info behind their next release, but they have unveiled a video for the first single, a subtle groove tune called "Hear Me."
The track is spaciously paced, with an echo-heavy clack and cinema score synths settling just beneath the effortlessly calm and pillowy soft Chichewan crooning of Esau Mwamwaya. Also adding bass to the track is Vampire Weekend's Chris Baio.
As for the video, it puts on display a beautiful Malawi landscape. Days are chronicled with clouds rolling through the air, shots of Mwamwaya staring into the camera, and the fading life cycle of an insect.

The Very Best's last LP was 2012's MTMTMK.
