Chicago djenty deathcore band Veil of Maya have announced their fourth full-length for Sumerian Records. Matriarch will come out on May 12 via the Los Angeles label.
Along with the announcement, the group debuted a music video for "Mikasa," directed by Ramon Boutviseth (Trivium, Chelsea Grin). The video features the band performing the fleet-footed jam — it's not nearly as chuggy as their more recent material, instead harkening back to The Common Man's Collapse — while snow falls around. Meanwhile, a female character is transported through a bookshelf into a fantasy realm.
You can view the video below. More information on the forthcoming release will likely be released in the near future.
