The Tragically Hip's Self-Titled Debut Gets Vinyl Reissue

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 13, 2015

As of late, Canadian rock heroes the Tragically Hip have been celebrating their 1992 album Fully Completely by playing it on tour, but fans will soon have a chance to revisit one of their even earlier works: the group's self-titled debut album will be getting a new vinyl pressing.

This new vinyl edition will arrive on 180-gram wax through Music on Vinyl. Listings on Discogs suggest that The Tragically Hip hasn't been issued on vinyl since its initial release in 1987.

While the original vinyl edition featured a modest seven tracks, this pressing expands that number to eight with the addition of the bonus cut "All Canadian Surf Club," which was previously exclusive to the CD. See the tracklist below.

Back in 2013, Music on Vinyl gave wax pressings to the Hip's album Up to Here (1989) and Road Apples (1991).

The Tragically Hip:

A1. Small Town Bringdown
A2. Last American Exit
A3. Killing Time
A4. Evelyn
B1. Cemetery Sideroad
B2. I'm A Werewolf, Baby
B3. Highway Girl
B4. All Canadian Surf Club
