While in years past, the Toronto Urban Roots Festival has been an early July outdoor treat for music fans, organizers have announced that the 2015 edition will be coming a little later than usual. Better late than never, the fest takes place at Fort York Commons on September 18 to 20.
Over on the festival's website, organizers had this to say about the move:
For those planning their summer vacation(s): due to the Pan Am Games, TURF 2015 will NOT happen in the traditional month of July.
Instead, TURF will be September 18 to 20, once again at historic FORT YORK COMMONS.
We are feverishly working to confirm headline bands and we will unveil our lineup and ticket pricing sometime around mid-April.
Previous performers include Neutral Milk Hotel, Jeff Tweedy, Belle and Sebastian, She & Him, Neko Case, Born Ruffians, and July Talk.
