Tom DeLonge Says He's Publishing 15 Novels

Though a lesser artist would have their hands full with the release of the To the Stars... demo collection and four subsequent albums, estranged Blink-182 guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge is no mere mortal. Instead, he's constantly boasting about his many projects. Up next? He says he's releasing 15 novels.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, DeLonge explained that he plans to release 15 novels. He says they'll be co-written with six different "best selling authors," and each novel will come with an accompanying EP. He also explained that Blink-182 asked him not to focus on any other projects for a year.

Here's DeLonge's statement [via NME]:

One of the reasons all this Blink stuff went haywire was because I am in 6 contracts with Best Selling Authors that are co-writing 15 Novels with me personally. Each one has an EP soundtrack that launches with it. I told my manager the contract that was sent to me for the Blink deal contained weird new language that I had to drop all that music for almost a year. I said I couldn't, but I could record the album in and around those things that were already in the works. He wrote them an email saying I'm out- (I didn't know- and he was only talking about the deal) next thing you know, a press release saying things I didn't say. Here we are..... Well.... Read a fucking book- at least one of mine, please. Christ.

In other words, keep an eye out for 15 novels and EPs, four albums and whatever other projects Tom DeLonge cooks up now that he's not working with Blink-182.

To kick it all off, To the Stars... is due out on April 21.
