Following a week of cryptic tweets and fan speculation, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has confirmed that the band are back in the studio and work has begun on a follow-up to 2011's The King of Limbs.
After guitarist Jonny Greenwood's announcement that the band would hit the studio in September, the group updated their PolyFauna app with new audio and visuals. Then, earlier this week, Yorke tweeted a photo of a white vinyl record that brought speculation to a climax.
That same Twitter account has now confirmed that Radiohead are hard at work in the studio for the second day. Yorke shared a photo of artwork and revealed that he's been going through 15 years' worth of work with longtime album art collaborator Stanley Donwood. Most importantly, though, he noted that overdubs were taking place in the band's studio.
There's no word yet on when the new material might surface, but Greenwood previously warned that Radiohead are "a slow moving animal," so we might be in suspense for a while yet.
