Calgary expats Telstar Drugs recently revealed plans to release their Sonatine LP. Before it arrives in full next week, the Montreal-based act have now granted Exclaim! an exclusive stream of the release.
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by the band at their Egg Paper Factory studio (which doubles as the record label for the release). The resulting nine tracks are among the band's most experimental yet accessible work thus far. Telstar Drugs have truly accomplished something special here.
Listen to Sonatine in full below. The album arrives on Tuesday (September 15). Those who pre-order the release will also receive a special gift — guitarist Raff McMahan describes it as "a v special mini collage/mixtape featuring material from between Sonatine and a new album that we're working on."
Telstar Drugs will perform alongside The Painters, Whitney K, Old & Weird, Family Band and Each Other at Montreal's Brasserie Beaubien on September 19 (as part of Pop Montreal).
