Tanner James Hits BC and Alberta on "Great North Tour"

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 1, 2015

Tanner James hails from Calgary, but this June, he will be making himself familiar to audiences throughout Alberta and British Columbia by touring to towns both big and small. The outing is dubbed "The Great North Tour."

The rootsy songwriter will be making more than a dozen stops throughout Western Canada in June. This includes big cities like Calgary and Vancouver, plus more out-of-the-way locales like Waterton, AB, and Rolla, BC.

On the tour poster (above), a couple of dates are listed as "TBA," so it seems that more shows will be added. Furthermore, he has four days allotted for Haida Gwaii, an archipelago in BC where he will presumably be playing more than one gig. There will also be some free afternoon performances at seniors centres.

James will be performing in a duo formation along with pedal steel player Dylan S. Keating. See their currently confirmed schedule below, and scroll past that to watch a newly unveiled performance video for the unreleased track "Cecile."
