British Columbia's Squamish Valley Music Festival has just dropped the bomb, having confirmed this morning (February 19) that its annual three-day event will be headlined by Drake, UK crooner Sam Smith and folk-rock combo Mumford & Sons.
The sixth edition of the festival takes place August 7 to 9, with a press release explaining over 70 artists will be making their way to Squamish's Logger Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields. Details on who will play when have yet to be delivered, but other acts stopping by this year include Schoolboy Q, Alabama Shakes, the Kills, Of Monsters and Men, Chance the Rapper, Kaskade, a solo set from Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Hot Chip and more.
On the Canadian front, Squamish has also got sets slotted for Death From Above 1979, Arkells, K-os, P Reign, Joel Plaskett, Alvvays, Bahamas, Mother Mother, Whitehorse and A-Trak, among others.
Weekend passes will be up for sale February 26 via Ticketmaster and will apparently be priced between $310.65 and $362.05. Info on single tickets has yet to be delivered.
