Subversive glam/rock guy Slim Twig (a.k.a. Max Turnbull) recently saluted the faithful with his Thank You for Stickin' with Twig LP, and now the Toronto music-maker is doing us another solid. He's unveiled a fall tour schedule that brings him to various Canadian cities this September.
An in-the-works tour schedule was posted on Slim's Facebook page, which confirms he'll be out on the road supporting his latest long-player next month. While the itinerary reveals that he kicks off the trip with a couple dates in the U.S. Midwest, he'll bring the party through parts of the Prairies and the West Coast shortly thereafter.
As you'll see down below, this includes shows in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary and Vancouver. Slim added that additional dates will be revealed soon.
You can read Exclaim!'s recent interview with the "Cannabis"-covering artist, in which he professes that he's not exactly the prolific pot-puffer the press makes him out to be, over here.
In the interview, he clarifies: "I guess I'd be lying if I said didn't like smoking weed and think it should be legalized, but I'm by no means some kind of druggie or someone who wants to be waving a pot leaf flag."
Tour dates:
09/18 Chicago, IL - The Empty Bottle
09/19 St Paul, MN - Amsterdam Bar and Hall
09/20 Winnipeg The Good Will - Social Club
09/21 Saskatoon, SK - Vangelis Tavern
09/23 Calgary, AB - Broken City
09/24 Vancouver, BC - The Media Club
09/26 Portland, OR - Bunk Bar *
09/28 Los Angeles, CA - House of Gods *
