Last year, we here at Exclaim! ranked Run the Jewels' 2014 release Run the Jewels 2 as the best hip-hop album of the year (and many fans and critics agreed with us). Now, it looks as if the duo of Killer Mike and El-P already have a new album in the works.
Although details are scarce to say the least, El-P previewed the record with a short Instagram video. It shows a speaker playing an anxious, synth-boosted beat and is tagged "#RTJ3."
El-P additionally tweeted about the planned album, seemingly confirming that it will indeed be titled Run the Jewels 3 but adding that it won't be out in 2015. Still, even if we won't be getting the record this year, it's comforting to know that something is indeed in the works.

Meanwhile, Run the Jewels' fan-funded, feline-focused album Meow the Jewels has yet to emerge. Both of Run the Jewels albums are due out on vinyl at the end of this month and they can be ordered here.

fyi RTJ3 is almost definitely not coming in 2015. touring all year but every chance we get we are working hard on it.
