Ride Add More Reunion Dates, Play Vancouver

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 13, 2015

Classic shoegaze crew Ride have announced another victory lap on their ongoing reunion tour, with a new batch of North American tour stops set to have the band celebrating the impending 25th anniversary of their debut LP, Nowhere.

The UK crew were already set to make a trip to North America this fall, kicking things off in Washington, DC, on September 17, but the itinerary has now been fleshed out to run until the end November. The tour roughly coincides with the 25th anniversary of the release of Nowhere, which had landed in October 1990.

While most of the dates take place in the U.S., a Canadian stop is booked at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on November 17. This will be Ride's second Canadian show of 2015, following a performance at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall in June. Exclaim!'s review of the sold-out show praised the Oxford unit, noting that the performance was "everything you could've asked for."

The Ride reunion has brought back together original members Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Laurence "Loz" Colbert and Steve Queralt. You'll find all of the details for the upcoming trip down below.
