Minneapolis alt-rock icons the Replacements have been keeping busy lately, releasing 24-minute long jazz compositions and prepping for a U.S. tour this spring. And while unconfirmed rumours of the band working on a new record continue to swirl about, they have confirmed that a massive new box set is on its way next month.
Arriving as an eight-CD collection, The Complete Studio Albums 1981-1990 contains just what the title implies. For those who need a refresher, that means Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash (1981), Stink (1982), Hootenanny (1983), Let It Be (1984), Tim (1985), Pleased to Meet Me (1987), Don't Tell a Soul (1989) and All Shook Down (1990) will be included in the set.
In terms of sound quality, the recordings will match the remastered albums released back in 2008.
