New York-based experimental electro-rock duo Ratatat recently broke five years of silence when they delivered "Cream on Chrome" last month. They followed it up by announcing a string of West Coast tour dates, and now the two-piece have revealed what fans have been hoping for — a new album.
Ratatat will follow up 2010's LP4 with a new record titled Magnifique, which is slated to arrive on July 17 through XL Recordings.
The soon-to-be-released material was recorded over the last four years in Jamaica, as well as in closer-to-home locales like upstate New York, Long Island and their home studio in Brooklyn.
The cover art (pictured above) is a collection of sketches made by bandmates Evan Mast and Mike Stroud. You can see the full tracklisting below, and scroll past that to hear the album's minute-long opening piece "Intro."
