Public Animal and Napalmpom Announce Split 12-Inch, Canadian Tour

Ian Blurton's kept plenty busy in the years since Change of Heart, Blurtonia and C'mon, letting loose as the frontman of Public Animal. He's found some likeminded brothers in rock 'n' roll via Calgary outfit Napalmpom. Now, the pair have teamed up for a new split 12-inch and CD.

The release sees the bands contributing a handful of originals, along with one Cancon cover each. Public Animal opted to take on Living Proof's "Don't Let Me," while Napalmpom handled Jr. Gone Wild's "Cosmos." You can stream both tracks in all their raucous rock 'n' roll glory below.

Public Animal's tracks were recorded by the band and mixed by Adrian Popovich, while Napalmpom's work was handled by Calgary producer Lorrie Matheson.

The release will arrive on August 20 via Teenage Rampage Records, and its rock-worshipping cover art is available above. To celebrate its arrival, the bands have announced a joint tour. You can peep Public Animal's full itinerary below, which includes a hefty stint with Napalmpom.

In addition, Public Animal have also got a split 7-inch in the works with Nanaimo's Moths & Locusts. They'll join both bands for a leg of the tour as well.
