The Prodigy

"The Day Is My Enemy"

UK electronic giants the Prodigy will return this spring with their first LP since 2009, but for now, they've unleashed album opener and title track "The Day Is My Enemy."

Driven by a menacing monster of a beat and a creepily innocent-sounding hook, the new track exemplifies the themes of the forthcoming full-length. According to a press release, the new material is "probably the most British sounding album you'll hear this year" — in the sense that it "understands that the nighttime spaces of urban Britain are a multi-hued cacophony of cultures."

It goes on to say that the The Day Is My Enemy is about "angry humanity existing in the decay of the urban nightmare," and the overpowering title track captures this perfectly.

The new record arrives on March 30 via Take Me to the Hospital/Cooking Vinyl. Befriend the nighttime and give "The Day Is My Enemy" a spin below.
