Last year, Detroit rapper Royce da 5'9" and producer extraordinaire DJ Premier joined forces as PRhyme, releasing their self-titled album to much fanfare. Rather than move on from the project, a deluxe version of the album is in the works.
While it's not uncommon for artists to slap a few bonus cuts on an LP and hope to rake in a few more sales, the deluxe edition of PRhyme sounds like it'll certainly be worth our time.
Speaking with the New York Observer, Premier said that the deluxe edition will have between three and five new songs. "I can't name all of the artists on it, but we've got MF Doom on one [song]," he said, adding, "We're putting that out on 45-inch box set and digital."
That's all we know for now, but look for more information on the deluxe edition of PRhyme in the coming months.
