Parquet Courts to Record 'Live at Third Man' Album

If you thought that Jack White's new solo album would mean that his Third Man Records would be slowing down its operations then think again. His prolific record label just announced the next artist to receive a Live at Third Man LP: Brooklyn jangle punks Parquet Courts.

Tickets are currently available for the band's upcoming show at Third Man's Nashville facility. The gig will take place next Thursday (June 5), and Quailbones are also on the bill.

When the show is over, attendees will be able to pre-order black and blue split-colour vinyl on the spot. There's no word as to how or when the record will be made available to the general public, but based on other artists' recent Live at Third Man records, it will likely be sold on standard black vinyl through the label's online store.

According to an announcement from the label, "These guys are fast and sharp and what's more, their 30th century blues fit nicely into the Third Man worldview."

Parquet Courts are touring in support of Sunbathing Animal, which comes out on June 3 through What's Your Rupture?/Mom + Pop.
