Olivia and the Creepy Crawlies

"Gatsby" (video)

Quirky London, ON-based folk outfit Olivia and the Creepy Crawlies just unveiled their latest EP Tongue-Tied last month, and now Exclaim! is pleased to follow it up with the video premiere for "Gatsby."

Playing on Fitzgerald's literary classic, "Gatsby" is a whimsical folk-pop tune that gets some party-themed visuals in the new clip — though the ostentatious glitz of Jay Gatsby's famous parties are traded in for something a little more down to earth.

PG-rated piggy-back rides, male pregnancies and bathtub massages all ensue — and unless you want to be decorated with Cheerios, take our advice and don't be the first to pass out at a party with the Creepy Crawlies.

The group's unique sound comes from an eclectic mix of instrumentation that includes everything from ukuleles and glockenspiels to more traditional Telecasters, which make appearances in the new video's impromptu apartment performances. You can also catch the band live at their upcoming Canadian dates, which are listed below.

For now, though, scroll past the upcoming gigs, grab some 1920's garb and join in the glammed-up gathering by watching the video for "Gatsby" below.
