This last year saw solo and side releases from a number of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All members -- from Tyler, the Creator to that MellowHype reissue to Syd Tha Kid and Matt Martians' EP as the Internet -- but it's been quite some time since we got a group effort. Fans of the controversial crew will get a full-meal deal this spring, however, when the ensemble deliver OF Tape Vol. 2.
A press release confirms that OF Tape Vol. 2, their first set of new group tunes since 2010's Radical (2011's 12 Odd Future Songs was culled from previously released recordings) and the proper follow-up to the outfit's 2008 debut The Odd Future Tape, arrives March 20. A tracklisting has yet to be unveiled, but Tyler, the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Frank Ocean, Left Brain, Domo Genesis, Mike G, Syd Tha Kyd and the Internet are all set to appear.
In other Odd Future news, the group are about to announce an upcoming ten-city tour that will feature a screening of their Adult Swim program Loiter Squad, as well as a live concert performance. For those that can't make it to the TBA concert dates, the comedy show is set to air March 25.
The press sheet also explains that Tyler, the Creator's follow-up to 2011's Goblin, Wolf, comes out this spring, while Hodgy Beats and Left Brain's MellowHype will return with a new album this summer.
