Nü Sensae Go on Hiatus

Vancouver's punk scene has lost one of its premier acts, at least for the time being, as Nü Sensae have announced that they're going on hiatus.

The Georgia Straight reports that the fuzzy duo-turned-trio will be going on hold while timekeeper Daniel Pitout crosses the pond to England to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. This is presumably connected to his stage career, since Pitout is an actor in Vancouver's theatrical community.

It's a two-year program, meaning that the group won't be playing shows any time soon, although fans shouldn't despair too much: the hiatus is being considered temporary, and the group are working on the follow-up to 2012's Sundowning.

As for Pitout's other band, Eating Out, the very eligible bachelor plans to put together a new formation in the UK and release a new 7-inch connected to fashion designer Julian Zigerli.
