In addition to SuperDogs and mini-donuts, Vancouver's annual Fair at the PNE closes out the summer season with a series of outdoor concerts. This year, the East Vancouver grounds will be mixing up the family friendly schedule with performances from the New Pornographers, the Beach Boys and Sloan, among others.
The newly revealed schedule confirms two weeks' worth of performances taking place at the PNE Amphitheatre as part of the Summer Night Concerts series between August 22 and September 7. In addition to Brill Bruisin' locals the New Pornographers, other BC-bred talent booked at the Fair includes Colin James and Loverboy, who will be working through the Labour Day long weekend to close out the PNE.
Other Canadian acts tapped to play the PNE include Sloan, Tom Cochrane with Red Rider and country guy Brent Kissel.
The international acts coming into BC include a Mike Love-led Beach Boys, Boyz II Men, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Hall and Oates, American Idol-offshoot Daughtry, a double bill of Colbie Caillat and Christina Perri, Clint Black, and Lee Brice.
