Miguel Sued over Crash Landing at Billboard Music Awards

As Miguel presses ahead with a new album called Wildheart and a starring role in a forthcoming film, his past is coming back to haunt him. The R&B singer has just been hit with a lawsuit from a fan he allegedly injured at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19, 2013.

Fans might remember the rather painful-looking moment, which occurred when Miguel attempted to reach another part of the stage by leaping over a group of fans' heads. He didn't make it far enough, however, and his crash landing resulted in him performing a leg-drop on an audience member.

That audience member, Cindy Tsai, is now suing Miguel and the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, where the Billboard Music Awards took place. TMZ reports that the woman is suing for negligence and is seeking damages to pay for medical bills, lost wages and personal injury.

Tsai isn't the first victim of the incident to come forward. A couple weeks after the show, a woman named Khyati Shah — who Miguel also landed on — said that she would be considering a lawsuit. It seems that this suit never happened, however.
